In 1988, my husband and I bought our first house in Menomonee Falls. We elected to not have a home inspection because the property looked in mint condition. Needless to say, we bought "The Money Pit." Heavy rain after a summer drought left us with a floating basement slab, a leaky roof and a septic system that backed up into our house. These events initiated my decision to go into real estate. I wanted to teach others how to protect themselves when purchasing a home.
After passing the real estate exam on my first try, I worked as a sales agent for 6 years absorbing all the information I could possibly digest. My professional background also includes working several years as Licensed Real Estate Assistant on residential sales. One of my most exciting jobs was teaching myself the hard way to negotiate offers to purchase on REO (bank owned) foreclosures and short sales with a smooth expedient closing as my goal. I fully enjoy the whole spectrum of residential real estate sales.
My long term focus in real estate is to utilize my communication skills, past job experiences, continuing education, field knowledge and training to provide clients and customers with the tools to make well-informed buying and selling decisions. If I don't know the answer, I will get it!
On a personal note, I'm a long-time Menomonee Falls resident and still live in "The Money Pit." On my time off, I like to spend time playing with my dogs, reading and working on home decorating ideas.
I look forward to your call.
